You do need some arcane for Morgott’s sword though iircSo basically what your complaint for the hookclaw is the exact area the bloodhound fang addresses.. the hookclaw you have to get too close. The bloodhound fang art actually does a backflip to jump back while it actually jumps forward first time attack so it attacks then dashes back all in one move.

Using two weapons will always be stronger but that strength has heavy downsides unless built for it. Jump attack builds are built around this but weapons like Bloodhound Fang are not meant for this type of build or should i say it has better options.
