Hello, So I have a failing TCM on my 2011 Fiesta automatic and the car intermittently will both not start and it will not shift out of park. The mechanic told me the TCM is backordered into oblivion but also told me he can get it to start reliably if started in neutral, and to use the shift lock override to move it there. Last resort: on the right side of your shifter there should be a small cover about the size of a penny. Use something like a pair of tweezers or a small flat head screwdriver and pop out that cover.
