Pelpro pp130 keeps shutting off
Jan 2, 2018 · We ended up going out so I turned it to off and it was shutting down, or so I thought. When we got back home it was on and running. It turns out it seems to be stuck in a comfort level setting even though it is on OFF.. I have tried anything I could figure out but it will not completely shut down, it keeps starting back up. Any help is appreciated. This allows you to set how much the temp has to drop below or rise above the set temp before shutting off or starting up. Ex: +/- 3 degree swing set at 70 would drop to 67 and kick on, then rise to 73 before shutting off. I still vacuum every 2 or 3 days, but its a 2 minute process. I let the fire die down, open the door, and vacuum all the cool ash out from around the pot and firebox, shut the door and let it go back to normal. Opposed to shutting down, vacuuming, pulling the burn pot, scraping for 15 minutes, and turning back on.In doing some maintenance on mine. I noticed the vacuum switch which is used to prove airflow is present, only shuts off the auger feed if the switch is open. If the switch is open it will not shut down the unit per say until the fire burns out due to lack of pellets.You've got to chase the voltage. One lead on common and find out where you have voltage and where you don't. The pressure switch should be in line with a bin switch/door switch possibly and then the feed motor. If you aren't getting voltage then you've got a bad control box.
