Feb 25, 2022 · Recessed door swings open through the recess. One of our exterior doors is recessed, and the frame is 4-5". The door opens in, through that 4-5" frame, so placing the sensor anywhere on the frame would mean the door couldn't open (it hits the sensor). Are there any workarounds? .
